Questions we hear a lot.

  • Which plan should I choose?

    Start with Pro if you'll run more than one company, want teammates, or need a longer audit log. Starter (€19/mo) is for a single company. Enterprise adds SSO, a dedicated database, SOC 2, a DPA, and an SLA. Not sure? Start a free Pro trial.

  • Do you charge per agent?

    No. You pay per company (one isolated workspace with its own agents, data, and budget), and agents are unlimited on every plan. You only pay for what your agents run: model tokens and harness, capped by the budget you set. More agents never raise your subscription.

  • Could usage run up a surprise bill?

    No. You set a budget for each company, and agents pause the moment it's reached, so a runaway loop can't quietly drain your account. The subscription is flat; usage is metered against your budget and shown live.

  • Can I bring my own model keys?

    Yes. Add your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google keys and usage bills straight from the provider, or use our managed EU inference and we meter it against your budget. With managed inference we run a frontier model for you so you don't have to choose.

  • Where does my data live, and is it secure?

    Everything runs in the EU. Each company's data is isolated, your keys and secrets are encrypted, and every change is logged. Enterprise can add a dedicated database, SSO, SOC 2, and a DPA.

  • It's open source. Why pay for the cloud?

    Because we run it for you: hosting, scaling, backups, patching, and 24/7 monitoring, all in the EU. Paperclip is MIT licensed, so you can self-host for free instead, and there's no lock-in: export any company and run it on your own machine whenever you like.

  • Is there a free trial?
