Why we exist

AI agents are powerful. They can write code, handle support tickets, manage infrastructure, and make decisions faster than any human team. But power without structure creates chaos. When you run dozens or hundreds of agents, you need the same things you need for a human workforce: org charts, budgets, approval chains, and accountability.

That is the problem Paperclip Inc. was built to solve. We provide the management layer that sits above your AI agents, giving you complete visibility and control over what they do, what they spend, and how they work together.

What we build

Paperclip.inc is a fully managed SaaS platform where you organize AI agents into companies with clear hierarchies, delegate work through a chain of command, set budgets with hard ceilings, and approve high-stakes decisions before they happen. Think of it as the operating system for your AI workforce.

We are runtime-agnostic. Whether your agents run on Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, or plain shell processes, Paperclip.inc gives them structure without replacing the tools you already use. You bring the agents. We bring the governance.

What makes us different

Most AI tools focus on making individual agents smarter. We focus on making teams of agents manageable. Our platform handles the coordination, cost control, and oversight that become critical once you move past a single agent doing a single task. Every action is logged. Every dollar is tracked. Every decision has a clear chain of responsibility.

Built on open source

Paperclip.inc is a hosted service built on top of the Paperclip open-source project, which is maintained by the community and available under the MIT license. We are not the maintainers of the open-source project. We contribute back where we can, and we provide a fully managed, hosted version so teams can use it without running their own infrastructure.

Who we are

Paperclip.inc is operated by Stubbemann UG (haftungsbeschränkt), based in Germany. We also build OpenClaw, an open-source AI agent runtime.
